Trouble In Mind

What happened aboard the Autumn Flyer?

No, the creepy old tapes in the attic aren’t cursed. But what are they doing there? It’s 1983. Fresh out of journalism school (ie: unemployed) Stevie Maynard finds a haunting mystery to unravel. The tapes belonged to her aunt, Dotty Colleran, a reporter back in the day. Except, Dotty went missing in the ‘60s, having vanished without a trace…

The tapes Stevie finds are from 1945. Dotty’s last assignment: aboard an Overland Route train carrying returning troops home across the United States. The train never made it to its final destination. Dotty came back different somehow. Before she disappeared for good, she claimed something was following her.

Well, that was weird! What was that sound?
Stevie and Hanson listen to one of Dotty Colleran’s tapes from the Autumn Flyer. It’s becoming increasingly clear that nothing good happened to that train. Stevie digs a little deeper into the mystery. Hanson says he knows someone who might be able to help. I hope you really like New Age music.

Uh oh is right. Stevie’s in trouble again; Hanson turns to an old friend for help.

Real popular gal, that Dotty Colleran. Why are all these people so drawn to the unexplained? People get weird about collecting things. Like, really weird. Don’t look in my downloads folder.

Are the tapes really worth killing over? Are they worth dying for? Sometimes things are better left alone.
